Heritage and Conservation

Conservation Areas are distinct parts of the historic environment of Wrexham County Borough and are designated by the Local Planning Authority for their special architectural or historic interest.

The special interest of a Conservation Area is expressed through a combination of characteristics such as the pattern of settlement, the organisation of space and buildings plots, the network of routes as well as the style and type and of buildings and their materials and detailing. Within Wrexham County Borough there are 23 designated Conservation Areas.

HDS Architectural has vast experience in preparing planning applications in conversation areas, as well as preparing applications for listed buildings.  We have close links with the local authority and with the council’s conservation officers.

At HDS Architectural we will talk you through the whole process. We prepare and submit all of the relevant documentation to the local authority. We will continually liaise with them throughout the planning and building regulation application process.

HDS Architectural believes that every project is unique and that by working closely and listening to our client’s needs, we can together achieve the best possible results which work within the budget, specification and planning constraints for the project.
